Sea for Miles

Exploring and adventure were in full swing at our stay in Port Stephens. We ended up being there for a total of 4 nights and made the most of the 2 full days we had there. On our bikes for the first day we cruised round Nelson and Shoal bay with a short trip on the little boat to Bennetts Beach just near Hawkes Nest in the afternoon. The second day we jumped in the little boat again and went past Tea Gardens and back over to Bennetts Beach for a swim. Some bumpy conditions made the trips hilarious and the Jnr members of the crew were hurting the next day.

As the weather was easing up we made a break up the coast to Camden Haven where we only stayed briefly overnight, leaving again before light to head to Coffs Harbour. We stayed in Coffs for only 1 night again as we left early the next day and made our way to Yamba.

In the past 3 days we travelled a total of 220 Nautical Miles (407kms) over 28hrs = a lot of backgammon. Check our trip progress HERE

Those 3 days of motoring were amazing. The coast of Australia was unreal to see from the water, and I honestly cannot put in to words the love and constant awe the dolphins and whales gave for the entire time.

In Yamba now and we have already treated ourselves to two unreal surfs and are enjoying a rest day before we make another break up the coast on our way to the Gold Coast.

Tchau!
